PATRIOT’S PRAYER

A Statement of Conviction

I am an American. After God, my highest loyalty is to this country.

I believe America cannot remain one nation unless it is under God. America is no accident. From the beginning, it was intended by the Author of Liberty to fulfill a special role. We couldn’t have gone from 13 disparate colonies clinging to the Atlantic coast to the world’s last remaining superpower in little more than 220 years without the guiding hand of Providence.

Along with the Founding Fathers, I believe religion is the foundation of liberty, morality and representative government. The First Amendment was meant to protect religion from government and not the reverse. The so-called the separation of church and state (words found nowhere in the Constitution and which would have confounded its drafters) is used not to separate church and state, but affect a divorce between government and Judeo-Christian values.

I believe in the United States Constitution and in the system of government it established – one of limited powers, inalienable rights, a balance of power and ordered liberty. I believe that the Constitution can only be amended as specified therein and never by judicial whim.

I believe you don’t have to be the dean of a law school or a Supreme Court Justice to understand the Constitution, just someone who has a sense of history, is logical and understands that words have objective meaning.

I believe in a judiciary that interprets law, not one that makes law. Judges who distort the Constitution’s plain meaning to achieve their own ends have substituted their will for that of the voters and the Founders. They are enemies of the Constitution and the people, and should be impeached and removed from office.

I believe in the right to keep and bear arms, as guaranteed in the Second Amendment and which is based on the right to life and the right to defend one’s life, family and property. Private ownership of guns is the protector of hearth and home and the guarantor of liberty.

I believe in the right to life, from conception to natural death. It is the duty of the state is to protect innocent human life. Legalized abortion (state-sanctioned killing) is the beginning of the unraveling of the social order, which soon leads to euthanasia, infanticide and the rationing of medical services. It is an affront to the law of God and jeopardizes the rights of all.

I believe in the free-market system as both the most efficient way to provide for human needs and the only economic system compatible with human rights and dignity. The free market is as American as the Constitution. It has brought unparalleled prosperity to this nation and opportunity to its citizens. Today, government is trying to kill that system to achieve utopian ends like “spreading the wealth.” Advocates of the omni-state detest capitalism for its impartiality. In place of a system which rewards hard work, ingenuity and risk-taking, it wants rewards based on political power, payoffs and favoritism.

I believe in limited taxation to pay for the constitutional functions of government. As government takes more and more of an individual’s income (through taxation, regulation and inflation), it robs him of his time, his labor, and ultimately his life – turning citizens into subjects. What we have today isn’t taxation as envisioned by the Founders, but plunder or serfdom.

I believe the rich have as much right to their property as the rest of us. A system that penalizes the most productive among us retards economic growth and is a denial of equal treatment, on which this nation was founded.

If left unchecked, I believe the National Debt and mega-deficits will demolish the economy and lead to a catastrophe on the order of the Great Depression. The National Debt is like a runaway train barreling down a track, picking up speed as it goes, hurtling toward a precipice at the end of the line. For the 60 years before 2008, federal revenue averaged 17.9% of Gross Domestic Product and spending averaged 19.6%. With an out-of-control leftist in the White House, we’re now spending 25% of GDP, and collecting about 15%. It used to be said that we owed it to ourselves. Now, we owe a large part of it to the Chinese and Saudis, who will one day make demands that endanger our national security. Eventually, even Washington’s ability to borrow will reach its limits. Then it will inflate the currency to the point where our economy, built on debt, comes crashing down. Say hello to Germany, 1921-1923.

I celebrate America’s heroes, history and heritage. I believe America has been the greatest force for good in the world for more than two centuries. Ask the penniless immigrants whose descendants achieved success in every field. Ask the Belgians, the people of Normandy, the Filipinos, the South Koreans and even the Japanese and Germans, whose cities and industry we rebuilt after World War II. Ask those liberated from Dachau and Buchenwald, who shed tears on the uniforms of American soldiers who saved them. A denial of American exceptionalism is based on ignorance, indoctrination or malice.

I believe we need to begin teaching patriotism again. For decades, Hollywood, the news media, public education and academia have been enemy territory. Elitists have indoctrinated generations to blame-America first. This needs to be countered by a concerted effort to teach the young what America really means, and why love of this country is thoroughly justified.

I believe political correctness is killing our country. National security, law enforcement and social stability are now subordinate to group sensitivity and spurious claims to equality. Scrutinizing passengers who are most likely to commit terrorist acts is decried as racial profiling. Recognizing the reality that married couples (men and women) do society’s vital work is said to offend those with alternative lifestyles. The military becomes a laboratory for social experiments. To raise the self-esteem of the aberrant, we willingly sacrifice cohesion and combat effectiveness. Political correctness has become a national suicide pact that ordinary Americans never agreed to.

I believe in public service, not career politicians – those who primarily serve themselves, at the public expense. The idea of an individual holding elective office for a quarter-century or more is obscene. It’s hard to say which is more of a threat to representative government: those who crave political power so much that they cling to it with a death-grip, or an electorate so feckless that it repeatedly gives it to them.

I believe in the America of individual liberty, patriotism and honor. I believe in the America of George Washington and John Adams, of Andrew Jackson and Abraham Lincoln, of Teddy Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge and Ronald Reagan.

I honor the brave men who fought to defend America, as well as those who fight today – from Concord to Yorktown, from Gettysburg to San Juan Hill, from the Argonne to the Bulge, from the Chosin Reservoir to the Tet Offensive, from Kuwait to Kabul. Politicians talk about freedom. Columnists write about it. Members of our armed forces bleed and often die to defend it.

I stand with the Pilgrims, the Puritans and the Pioneers, the earliest settlers on these shores and the intrepid Americans who pushed west, settling this vast continent – with the farmers and ranchers, the merchants and mechanics, the workers, entrepreneurs and inventors. America is a monument to their perseverance and vision.

I believe a nation that cannot defend its borders has surrendered its sovereignty. Immigration issues should be decided by the American people based on the national interest – not by political elites and activist judges, based on expediency, a misguided altruism, multicultural fantasies or a sense of guilt. The Statue of Liberty says “give me your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,” not give me your criminal class, your mooches, and those who refuse to assimilate -- all of them here illegally. I am outraged by driver’s licenses and in-state tuition for illegal aliens. This isn’t compassion but a slap in the face to hard-working, law-abiding Americans, including the immigrants who came here legally.

I believe America’s language is English. Along with our common ideals, it’s the glue that holds together a diverse people. From the Mayflower Compact to the Declaration of Independence, from Washington’s Farewell Address to Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, from the Constitution to the latest Congressional enactment, America’s story has been written and spoken in English. I reject anything that detracts from the primacy of our mother tongue – including bilingual education, bilingual ballots, “press 1 for English,” and every other form of language pandering.

I believe American identity is based on belief not blood – heart and head -- not race, religion or ethnicity. An American is identified by what he believes, not the happenstance of birth. Everyone who believes what Americans have always believed, everyone who fights for America, is an American, regardless of how he worships, where he was born, or the color of his skin. In the words of Shakespeare’s Henry V: “For he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother.”

I believe we need to stop dividing Americans along the lines of race and ethnicity and start uniting them. The more the nation is polarized as us-versus-them, the less likely we are to hang together in times of trouble. Multiculturalism and racial-identity politics teach minorities that they are members of a race, ethnicity or community first, and Americans second -- if at all. We need an electorate which will vote not as Latinos, blacks, workers, retirees, businessmen, etc., but as Americans for America.

I believe the chattering class is rife with treason – not treason as defined in law, but treason of the heart. They repudiate the ideals on which this country was founded, identify with our enemies and believe our history is an unbroken saga of exploitation, oppression, and imperialism. To justify their hatred of America, they re-write history and obsess about our mistakes, while ignoring our triumphs. The traitors in our midst run the gamut from the clergyman who calls on God to “damn” America and the college professor who glorifies the murder of American soldiers, to the filmmaker who uses his art to slander his country and the actress who made propaganda broadcasts for the enemy in time of war and lied about the treatment of American prisoners. If they despise America so much, why would it take a bunker buster to get them to leave?

I believe defending America must be the first priority of our national government. We live in a world of prowling predators – barbarians with weapons of mass destruction. Thus it has been. Thus it will be, as long as human nature endures. The principal role of government is to protect us from savages at home and abroad. Liberty is guarded by men who walk the ramparts. Much as we may wish it were otherwise, a world at peace is a dangerous delusion. Pacifism, disarmament and internationalism are as irrational as imperialism and aggression.

I believe that, ultimately, American security rests on the family. Families keep America strong. The family is the incubator of civic virtue. At its best, it passes patriotic values to the next generation. As much as our military, the family guards the flame of liberty. Who undermines the family – including marriage – subverts America.

I believe Israel and America share a unique bond. In the course of human history, they are the only two nations where the vision preceded possession of the land. American values stretch back to Sinai, and come to the West through Jerusalem, Rome and Geneva. Absent Ancient Israel’s encounter with God, there would have been no America. To turn our back on Israel would be to betray ourselves.

I believe Islam is the deadliest foe confronting America. Terrorism is almost the exclusive province of Islamists. Islam is the religion of peace the way German is the language of diplomacy. Orthodox Islam is an ideology at war with American values – religious tolerance, equality before the law and non-aggression. September 11, 2001 was not Islam’s declaration of war on America, but a milestone in a clash of civilizations that’s been going on for over 1,300 years. What fascism was during the ‘30s and ’40s, what communism was from 1917 through the Cold War, Islamism is today.

I believe America needs patriots as never before. Defeatism and disengagement are unacceptable. Each of us owes this country far more than we can ever repay. To withdraw from the fray is a betrayal of the patriots who came before us – the Continental soldiers who left bloody footprints in the snow on Washington’s retreat from New York, the patriots who starved and froze at Valley Forge, the patriots who stormed Cemetery Ridge (and those who held the ridge), the Lost Battalion of the Argonne, the Marines on Guadalcanal, the heroes who landed on Omaha Beach under withering fire, the Battling Bastards of Bastogne, those who fought with the sword and those who fought with the pen, those who first beheld this blessed land with tear-filled eyes, and those who refused to give up when all seemed lost.

God bless America, if not for ourselves then for our fathers. If this generation is less worthy of His blessing, may He remember the generations that came before us, going back to Plymouth and Jamestown. God make us worthy of your blessings. When we live up to our national motto – In God we trust – then will we truly deserve to be blessed

Bullies

In the last couple weeks bullying has come to the front as the new scourge of America. We will be told that we need to have the Department of Education, and the legislature spend money and pass laws to outlaw this practice. I think the best way to end bullying is to start at the top.

In Hollywood we have celebs tweeting and talking about ending it, yet they put out shows like "Bad Girls Club", "Jerseylicious"and not to mention TMZ just to name a few. All of these promote bullying, fighting and with TMZ, stalking. Shouldn't Hollywood set a good example by ending programs like these?

How bout unions? How many "scabs" have been intimidated or physically harmed for doing nothing more than crossing and imaginary line? How about the people that didn't join the union? Do you really think the union workers just let these workers go? Why do you think they want card check? So they can see exactly who voted against them. Maybe they should set an example by not using intimidation as business as usual.

How bout politicians? In California Jerry Brown's entourage calls Meg Whitman a "whore", isn't this a form of bullying? Sarah Palin is called everything but a child of God from the left. Our own President is now using his bully pulpit to go after the Chamber of Commerce for opposing him! These aren't terrorists or enemy's of the state, but the shops on main street! If the government is serious about bullying shouldn't they scold our President first?

If you want to end bullying maybe the first thing we should do is set an example for our kids. This will do more than any amount of money or laws could do.

Immigration song pt. 1

Living in Pennsylvania you might think I don't have any reason to rant about illegal immigration(and that is what it is, not undocumented workers). However I'm right smack dab in the middle of apple country. Migrant workers have been a part of this part of the country for eons. My father remembers picking peaches with Mexicans, Dominicans, Guatemalans and even Haitians as a teenager. They came to this country, like my ancestors, looking for a better life. They found a hard life ahead of them with 12+ hours of grueling, back breaking and tedious work. They did it because it was still better than having their children living in squalor "back home". They knew that their children would be able to go to school, go on to college and be able to sit at a desk instead of climbing a tree. My roommate in college was a son of a migrant worker. He never learned Spanish because as his parents said "English is the language of this country. If you want to be successful you need to speak English" Of course he felt the real reason was so his mom and dad could talk about him and his siblings without them knowing what they were saying. He was proud of his Mexican heritage, but always considered him an American. He would get angry when people would ask "what he is" and would always answer "I'm American what are you?" When ever I think about the illegal immigration issue I always think back to his parents Mr. and Mrs. Garcia. They worked hard to become citizens and were proud of the fact they did it right. They would grumble about the people that lived in their neighborhood that were illegals. They rightly felt that it paints all Latinos as illegals. They felt they were leeches that figured out a way to play the system. They saw the neighborhood change from a middle class "little Mexico" to a poor neighborhood filled with crime. Instead of worrying about what grades their kids got, they now had to worry about whether they would join gangs and start doing drugs. They lost their oldest son to drugs because it was easier for him to try to "fit in" than to study and graduate school. His parents both worked(his father 2 jobs) just to make ends meet, and were upset that they didn't have enough to move out of the neighborhood. They were very strict with their other kids to make sure they didn't fall into the same trap. When they showed up to graduation they were so proud of the first Garcia to graduate college, even his father cried tears of joy(something Adam said he never saw before). This is why I will never oppose legal immigration.

What's in a letter?

Today it was reported that Senator Robert Byrd has passed away. The man is synonymous with pork. His state of West Virginia is the headquarters for Homeland Security and the Coast Guard's operational systems center(never mind the fact that WV is landlocked) The left wing media is praising this conscience of the senate. In fact when reading any article today on him, his past as the Exalted Cyclops of the Klu Klux Klan, is reported like it was just a youthful indiscretion, not unlike doing one too many keg stands at a frat party. It wouldn't upset me as much if I didn't remember how Sen. Strom Thurmond was treated after his death, which coincidentally was almost 7 years to the day. I have posted the USA today link for you to read for yourself, I will only highlight a few things.

In Sen. Byrd's you have to go to the 9th paragraph to find out he was in the KKK, and the 20th to find out he was the exalted cyclops(the leader of a Klaven). But its brushed aside because he saw the light and backed Obama.

Sen Thurmond obit in the first paragraph we find out he was a segregationist. In the 3rd we find out he ran for president on an anti-civil rights platform. It says " He ran as a Democrat but soon picked up the banner of racial segregation" So I guess he wasn't a Democrat during this time? In fact most of the article is about him being a ravenous racist.

I have heard that Byrd may be lying in state in the US rotunda. Do we want a man who once wrote to the Klan (3 years after he "quit) " The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia" and "in every state in the Union." I say no, and likewise I wouldn't have wanted Sen. Thurmond to lie in state either. Both were a black eye to this country, and yet only one still is. Wonder if that has to do with the letter "R" after his name?

Shame on you Democrats:

You allowed your fringe element to take control of your party. You aren’t the Democrats of JFK’s time. He wouldn’t even be a Democrat today. You’d run him out of the party! You went from “Ask not what your country can do for you,” to “Just let us take care of you from cradle to grave”

Shame on you Republicans:

You’ve shown time and time again you have about as much backbone as a wet sponge. The last Republican with a spine was Ronald Reagan! You forgot what the party is about. You back moderates and chastise conservatives. You’re so worried about being liked by the other side. News flash the other side will never accept you! When was the last time you saw the majority of the left step across the aisle for you?! The only reason you’re outraged now is because you think the tea party has your back. Watch how quickly they leave if you turn your back on them!

Shame on you Unions:

You forgot why you were created. When was the last time you had a strike because of a safety issue? Your job was to make the job safer for the worker. Your job wasn’t to line the pocket of the union leaders. Your job was to have “the back” of the worker. Not to line the pockets of politicians. You take up social issues that have nothing to do with your “brotherhood”. Take a look around Union bosses, do you really think Lenny from the Teamsters union cares about same sex rights? No he’s worried about having a job next year. Hoping his company doesn’t close shop when it realizes it can't possible pay out all the benefits you squeezed out of them.

Shame on you Hollywood:

You forgot you're just actors. Nobody cares how you feel about politics. Its great you make an ungodly amount of money. And that you want to put your face out there for some charity. But if you think the average American cares how you vote, you are sadly mistaken. Mertle from Kansas has never pulled a lever because Will I Am or Ashton Kutcher told her to vote Obama. What happened to the Hollywood that made movies that glorified the positive things about American values, instead of just tearing down everyone of them. People are craving another Rocky, something to make them feel good again.

Shame on you Educators:

You care more about your paycheck than why you’re teaching. And the ones that do care don’t speak out against a fellow “brother”. Are you scared to be paid based on performance? If schools were a business you’d be shut down. You’re more worried about zero tolerance than you are of the fact we are behind everyone in test scores. The majority of colleges now have to have remedial classes for incoming freshmen! And if little Johnny can't read it must be because he needs Ritalin. I have a relative that taught, and told me this story. A student was in 7th grade reading at a 3rd grade level was in summer school. She told me that her job was to make sure that he doesn't drop lower than 3rd grade. Not to get him to 7th grade level!

Shame on you Parents:

For thinking that its just the teachers job. If you want your child to have a chance in this world, to do better than you, then you have to make sure their education is top notched. That means taking an interest in them. If that means they hate you because you’re making them do their homework instead of playing Wii so be it. You’re their parent not their friend. You have plenty of time to be their friend once they’ve graduated college. While we’re at it, stop thinking little Johnny is an angel. If 3 of his teachers say he’s a brat then guess what…HE”S A BRAT!! Give the teacher your phone number, tell them that you want to know if your little angel is being a devil in class. You ask for the teacher’s number for when your kid says “but I don’t have homework”. Look at what they’re teaching your kids. If you have a problem with it, tell them. If they don’t listen, yell louder. Get more people involved, chances are you’re not the only one thinking it. Remember you’re the consumer, you wouldn’t take this from a pizza joint! Anything the school doesn't teach you think they should, then its your job to do it!

Shame on you churches:

You preach love and charity but only show it to your congregation or others that pray the way you do. When you collect the plate how much of it goes into your immediate community? You preach about how same sex marriage is an abomination. Yet the church has the same divorce rate as the outside world. Congregation you’re not without blame. You hear every Sunday the truth to salvation, but you’re either too scared or too lazy to tell your neighbor. Sure you show up to church whenever you can, but you expect your pastor and the deacon board to spread the gospel. You spend at the most 2 hours in worship with the Lord, come Monday you’re back to acting like a heathen.

Shame on you American Public:

For buying into D.C. version of the American dream. They want you to be consumers instead of savers or producers. You buy a house that you can’t afford, a car you don’t need , and then scream when you find out Washington is spending money they don’t have. You treat saving like a disease. You get angry at businesses that go overseas, but then only want to buy the cheapest product on the market. You can’t have it both ways.

Shame on you American voter:

You know that the politicians in Washington are morally bankrupt, and yet you keep reelecting them. You bitch and moan about all the spending and then you don’t show up to vote. You complain that both parties are crooks, and then you buy into the crap that voting 3rd party is throwing away your vote. There’s no such thing as a throw away vote. You keep voting 3rd party, splitting the parties, they’ll start leaning your way. You have no one to blame but yourselves for the state of this country.

Shame on you media:

We expect you to be inquisitive when it comes to the government. And you are, as long as the person in the Whitehouse is on the right. I clearly remember the scourge of the 80’s was homelessness. Then suddenly in 93 it disappeared overnight. I’m sure it had nothing to do with Clinton taking the reigns. You care more about hit pieces than just showing the facts and letting your readers decide. Two college kids get the scoop about corruption in ACORN and you ignore it. After years of sitting quietly the American public stand up to big government and you either ignore them or you call them racist or “teabaggers” Remember when you stood up for the underdog? You spend more time covering Hollywood and sport stars private lives than you do corruption in DC. Newsflash let the E!, ET, Extra and Inside edition’s cover this, you stick with real news. The public is starving for the truth, and you feed them slop! This is why your viewers/readers are leaving you in droves.

Most of all shame on me:

It took me 27 years and some terrorists using planes as missiles for me to start paying attention. After that it took me 9 more years and the birth of my son to get off my butt and do something about it.

A guide to a great Tea Party

Do not make this a Republicans against Obama rally.

This is counterproductive. The media wants to hear us scream about Obama, makes a good sound byte. They are trying to tell people that this is because we're upset "our guy" didn't win. This has to be because Washington isn't being a good steward to the money we let them use. Replace the word "Democrats" with "Washington" Remind people that this is a party of the people, not of parties.

Do not identify yourself as a Republican!

Again this goes back to the first item. They want the people watching at home to think this is a bunch of republicans that hate they aren't in power. Instead identify yourself as a conservative. Be sure to mention you're upset at both parties for spending like drunken idiots.

Stay on the message of taxes and big spending!

This is not the time to spout off about how you think Obama is going to take away your guns, create a new world order or that he hasn't proved that he's a U.S. citizen. This is not the purpose of the tea party. There will be time to address these issues later. For this to be a productive protest you need to win the minds and hearts of Joe Six pack watching at home. As near as I can tell no one likes taxes! Mention that you want a smaller government. That you trust that people are better at running their lives than Washington is.

Puff your numbers up!

This is an old protesters trick. For instance, if you only have 20 people and they ask how many are there say "We are proud to have close to 100 people out today, not to mention the 100's more stopping by in support of this". I realize this may create a moraldilemma for some. So in that case mention that you are only a small part of a movement that is over 6000 city strong.

Smile and be polite!

This is the most important thing. If you are screaming, yelling, and looking ticked off you will come across as a wack-job! Think about when you see some liberal protesting acting like this...what do you think of them? If someone is trying to "get your goat" come back at them with kindness. Don't be surprised if this happens. Anarchists, the Coffee Party and Huffington Post have already said there will be counter protests, infiltration, and citizen journalists at the rallies. Also don't scream at the media. We know how they will spin this!

Follow up afterwards!

Write a letter to your local paper mentioning how much of a success this was. Talk about how you sent a message to Washington that they have to be better stewards of our money. Talk to your neighbors and colleagues about the rally. Keep the buzz going about this. Tell them about future protests if there are any in your area.

Check your spelling!

This is one of the most important things. Nothing can ruin a protest like some idiot that can't spell. This will be the one thing that the media zooms in on! So when you make your signs, t-shirts, etc. check it and have someone else look as well. Also take some time on your signs, don't make it look like a 3rd grader with a crayon did it! Liberals drinkin' haterade

The right has often joked that many on the left are Kool-Aid drinkers. However it's come to my attention that they've replaced kool-aid with "haterade". They've been drinking this so long I think its messed up their logic. You be the judge.

Conservatives hate African-Americans! According to them, we don't want them in our party of rich white boys. When they find they're wrong, that there are conservative African-Americans and what's more they're welcome in the Republican party(and Tea party for that matter) we're told "Those guys are sell-outs. They're Uncle Toms." Huh? I guess the only good black man is one that says "Yes Massa" to the Democrats.

All members of the Tea Party are racist! That's right ever single one of them. Why, because a congressman said he was called "n!gger" and spat on. Not one shred of evidence has surfaced(even though 1000's of cameras were rolling at the time), and the congressman has now said "I never said that happened. Now this is the same left that tells us not to jump to conclusions when a Muslim starts shooting up an army base or tries to blow up a plane with his undies.

Conservatives hate women! I could mention that the majority of tea partiers are women. But I'd rather like to point out how the left treats Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin is the new George Bush. They call her dumb, a bimbo, about every chauvinistic thing possible. They've even thrown tomatoes at her at a book signing. Once again if they aren't carrying the liberal water bucket they can go to hell!

The Tea Partiers are violent! Let's review. A Black tea partier beaten in St. Louis by(dramatic pause) a union thug. Sarah Palin assaulted with fruit by(dramatic pause) a lefty that bloggers call "a hero", Rep. Eric Cantor is threatened by(dramatic pause) a crazy Obama supporter. The Tea Party express bus gets pelted by eggs by (dramatic pause) more union thugs! Do I need to continue?

Conservatives are the dumbest people in the world! So now that Obama care will be the law of the land what's next? Well states have already indicated they will bring suit against it on constitutional ground. More than likely the courts will back congress. Republicans will campaign on "repealing" health care. However once they get in office they won't. They might try, but they will fail and will give up. Can you honestly remember the last time Republicans stopped an entitlement program? They will decide that the best thing to do is "tweak" it. They'll fool some Americans into thinking that they've upheld their promise.

Our premiums will skyrocket, as health care companies see more sick people than healthy. You need more healthy people in the pool than sick people to keep costs down. Since they've done nothing to expand the size of the "pool" costs will go up. Eventually Dems will get universal health care passed.

People will be waiting to see doctors. More people that feel their health care is "free" the more they'll go to the doctor for every little thing. There will be less doctors as older doctors retire early, and younger ones decide to become surgeons and other specialists.

Employees will lose their health care as companies cut costs. Companies won't hire more people as they have new taxes to pay. People wanting to start businesses will have to have more capital to open with these new taxes.

At some point Dems will say we need amnesty to help control costs with health care. All those illegal, sorry, undocumented workers are dragging us down. After they get this passed(without thinking about closing the border) they will go after personal freedoms that they now deem "unhealthy". Obviously smoking will be first. Then they will go after foods, making sure you're eating right. Bye-Bye McDonald's, as they tax them into extinction. Then alcohol, as it destroys livers, families, and cars. Then fatties. The obese will be taxed higher as they will be using health care more. All this will go without as much as a boo from the American people. We all know you shouldn't be fat, smoke, drink and eat fast food. After they do this and realize its not dropping premiums, they'll have to go with rationing. Politicians will finally decided who lives and who dies, the ultimate control. The 80 year old that needs a double knee transplant will be sent home with Tylenol. The 2 month old that needs heart surgery will be sent to the corner of the hospital to die. Sorry Mom, sorry Dad guess you should have gotten an abortion since that would be paid for.

Finally as they can't tax anymore, or ration anymore they will see the country is so in the hole there's no way to ever get out. People will be so used to entitlements at this point that when someone finally has enough sense to say "we can't keep paying for you" there will be upheaval. Like Greece people will riot in the streets. Our leaders will call out the military against us. We will have another civil war, one that destroys this country. People will finally submit to a dictator that promises hope and change.

This of course is a worst case scenario. Best case, we vote in so many conservatives that they actually repeal this. But you have to help. Only vote for conservatives, no more moderates, or progressives. All RINO's must be defeated by true conservatives. Only then can we avert this disaster.

In honor of President Obama finally taking tough questions from Fox News Bret Baier, I thought I'd come up with some questions I'd like him to answer.

1a. Mr. President you have stated through yourself and your subordinates that you are not a socialist. How do you explain surrounding yourself with devote socialist and out right communists in your White House?

1b. A follow up question, if you didn't know they are socialist than would you please tell people not to call you "the smartest President we've ever had"?

2. Mr. President how do you explain that the same things you advocate(i.e. universal health care, government takeover of banks, businesses, etc) are the same things the Socialist Party of America wants? Is this just a coincidence? Here's a link to back up what I've just asked.

3. Mr. President why is there a provision for the federal government to take over financial aid in this health bill? Also once you get control of this does this mean you(or some Czar) decide what colleges get money? Will students going to religious schools be able to get financial aid, or will you say "separation of church and state"? Will all the financial aid go to students that take a major you like, i.e. environmental science, community planning, etc?

4. Mr. President as a former constitutional professor could you explain where in the constitution it allows the federal government to mandate the people must buy something? Also could you explain how the government can decide what is a right? Didn't our founding fathers feel that rights were given by God(or Creator) and enforced by government?

5. Finally Mr. President you said repeatedly on the campaign trail that you wanted to change Washington. Mr. President isn't arm twisting and bribing congressmen the same thing that's been in Washington since the boundary markers were laid in 1791? Or is this a new type of corruption brought from Chicago?

Obama has been trying to get Americans to buy into his Obamacare. That only by forcing people to buy into his plan, we can have lower costs and less of a deficit. Yet he's never talked about how states have already tried this, and failed.

Massachusetts has had public health care since 2006 and it is a dismal failure. The National Academy of Science has five key areas for health care reform. The coverage should be: universal, not tied to a job, affordable for single and families, affordable for society, and provide high-quality care for everyone. Massachusetts has failed on every single one.

The people have figured out that its cheaper to just pay a fine instead of paying for health care. Yet if they get sick they can still go to the doctor and get free care, with the cost going back to the tax payers. Oh and if it turns out they have a serious medical condition(cancer, diabetes, etc) and decide to buy insurance, the insurance company can't deny them coverage. This, of course raises premiums for everyone.

Businesses too have figured out that its cheaper to pay fines then to pay for health care. As profit margins shrink, this is an expense that is easily cut.

Its not affordable for singles or families. The majority of families fall threw the cracks for state subsidies and can hardly afford skimpy coverage. An individual making around 30k will pay over 9k a year in co-pays and premiums for a "plain jane" plan.

The cost on the state has been..well I don't think an adjective has been thought up for it. In 2007 it cost the state 630 million, two years later it now costs 1.3 billion. Its projected to cost as much as $123 billion in 2020 increasing 8% faster than the states GDP.

Because of forcing people to get health care(whether privately or through the state) there are not enough doctors for the patients. One health center has a waiting list of over 1600 people. Not to mention primary care doctors are leaving the state or the job because of money. They make far less from insurance companies and Medicare than a specialist. New medical students are deciding to follow a specialist track instead of a primary care one. Primary doctors are only being paid for the first 15 minutes of treatment. Therefore the majority of people have to go to the ER, adding time and costs.

So how does Massachusetts solve these problems? They cut coverage to 30,000 legal(not Illegal) immigrants and raised taxes.

Massachusetts isn't the first state to try this. In the 90's Tennessee tried this same thing with TennCare. The result was exactly the same. 94% of the state had some sort of health care, and then when faced with bankruptcy kicked over 170,000 people off of TennCare.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. If that's the case D.C. must be one big insane asylum.

State of Obama

It's about an hour until the anointed one takes the podium at Constitution Ave(irony) I decided to break out my crystal ball and predict what will be said and what will happen.

1. First off, he will be late by 10-15 minutes. Its an old trick speakers use to get people excited. And now with Plouffe back in the picture, you can guarantee we'll see campaign mode Obama. In fact if he could get away with it, he'd show up without a jacket, tie, and have his sleeves rolled up to prove he's just a regular Joe six-pack.

2. He will blame Bush, I mean the past administration. This is just easy money.

3. Banks/Wall Street. This is the newest group in his cross hairs. Remember when it was doctors, the chamber of commerce, insurance fox news, talk radio and of course the tea party protesters. Now he'll go after the people that invest in America. The people that give credit lines to small businesses.

4. He will use the terms "let me be clear" and "its just not me saying this". Again he does this so much that back in college we'd take a shot every time he says it.

5. Obamacare. Massachusetts and every poll available means nothing to him. They have invested too much to stop now. They see the top of the mountain of socialism and how dare the idiot masses tell him they don't want something!

6. Spending freeze. See he's as conservative as Goldwater! Except for the fact that the freeze doesn't take into account his health care proposal. Plus it doesn't start for a year. Oh and anything else he wants shouldn't be effected.

7. Haiti. I would like to see if he acknowledges that people in this country(you know the one his wife is ashamed of)opened up their wallets before he or Hollywood even asked. I doubt it though. This would be a great time for him to talk about amnesty. This is another big thing he and Dems want done. They realize that they need more votes(after Mass)and Mickey Mouse can only vote so many times!

8. Green jobs. Here's another great one he keeps beating like a rented mule. All these great green jobs that we have to subside. Funny...all the jobs that aren't green start without gov't help and most do just fine. Heck the bane of environmentalists, the car, changed the way we live and work without a government hand out.

9. Education. He'll have you believe our kids are below Haiti when it comes to education. Of course the only way to change this is throw more money at it. No need to attack the real problems of top heavy administrations, teachers unions, and teaching how great it is to be gay(instead of focusing on teaching what kids need to learn).

10. Middle Class. He's gonna help out by giving more tax credits for child care and elder care. Ever notice how every time a lib wants to give a tax break you have to do something to get your own money? Wouldn't it make more sense to say everyone gets x% of money?

Here is a partial list of the people invited by Obama to be his guest tonight. A soldier , a student, the Haitian ambassador, a college student studying to be a teacher, a Philly grocer, and an Arizona businessman that received 99 million in stimulus money. With that he created 50 jobs in the green sector. So it costs 99 million for 50 jobs? That's about 1.9 million a job! Maybe he should be going after green bosses instead of bankers!

The one thing that is for sure, I doubt this speech will make the Queens ipod.

What you should know about public option.

I need to rant, cause I'm getting a little ticked off that a public option is still being debated. According to Rasmussen poll(10/19/09) 54% of Americans oppose a public option. That's more people than voted for Obama! The results keep going up, from 52%. The Dems tactic of hoping the American public will get bored and forget about it isn't working.

For the sake of this argument I will forgo the usual. I won't harp on the fact we'll be spending more money we don't have. I won't talk about how it will put citizen in front of a comparative effectiveness research panels(or in layman's terms death panels). I won't even talk about how it will overload the system, because we don't have enough doctors(or people wanting to become doctors). What I want to talk about is something many people don't realize. That is the government will be deciding on what is good for you.

They are already toying with an idea to tax the 1/3 of Americans that are obese. It won't stop there. They will also tax the 25% of Americans that smoke. Most alarming of all they will tax any American that owns a gun. All of this is because its bad for you to be overweight, smoke, and own a gun. God help the man that does all three! Now with anything the government touches it won't stop there. Soon you will be taxed if you own a car(carbon emissions), motorcycle(their death traps don't you know), eat bacon(artery clogger), or drink beer(kills your liver). This will be a great money maker for D.C. Just think of the possibilities. Plus the added benefit of dividing the nation more. The Department of Health can get a bigger budget by finding more things that are bad for us. On the other side food companies can lobby D.C. with big bucks to make sure that their product doesn't end up in THE BOOK OF THE DAMNED. D.C. will feel they need to do this, because we're too stupid to know whats good for us.

Like everything Democrats do its filled with hypocrisy. They are the party of pro-choice, but only if its their choice. All of this for the greater good!

Yesterday when I woke up to the news Obama won the Nobel peace prize I thought "What?!" then thought "How long was I asleep?!" I couldn't believe a man who hasn't accomplished anything other than divide a nation could win a prestigious prize. Then as I looked up past winners I realized how ridiculous the prize is. Yes they gave medals to Martin Luther King Jr., Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu, Lech Walesa and Mother Teresa. All of these people are deserving of this as they actually worked for peace their whole life. However lets look at others that won it: Arafat, for his middle east peace effort...huh?, Gorbachev, for ending the cold war(take that Reagan!), Kofi Annan, Jimmy Carter(both make Jews squeamish)and of course Al Gore(for inventing global warming). Looks like he's in good company.

I think I should have won. I've done about the same as Obama in the efforts towards world peace. Plus I've never met a terrorist(Ayers) or a communist(just about everyone else he knows). This alone should have vaulted me past Obama!

So kudos to you Nobel prize committee for giving a ego maniac an award for something he hasn't done. Maybe next week you can give a match and a gas can to an arsonist and go for the hat trick!

Obama care will overload the system

This past weekend I saw two great examples of the problem when the government messes with things they don't understand. I was at my local watering hole and one of the regulars and his wife was nursing a beer. I struck up a conversation and he told me he just got back from WV. Why? Because he had to go to the VA. So I asked him why would he drive 2 hours away to the VA when there's one the next town over. He informed me that he needed to get a test. The results are sent to the one in WV, read, interpreted and then shipped back to our local VA. Then read, make sure its interpreted right call and ask you to make an appointment for them to tell you the results. So he decided to cut out the middle man and drive 2 hours so he wouldn't be worrying for 2 weeks while waiting. He also informed me that before doing this they had lost his tests in the mail already. I'm sure that kind of bureaucratic stupidity won't happen with Obamacare.

The second one is about Pennsylvania's version of Obamacare, Adult Chip basic. Its purpose is to give the poor folks that can't afford health care, or lost health care coverage. I mosied over to their website to see how it rated vs my health insurance. The website informed me about how great it is, and it already has covered 90k Pennsylvanians. I went through the quiz to see if I was eligible and at the end I was told yes I could get it. However they've can't cover me or anyone else because they didn't figure that a lot of people would want cheap health care. In other words they don't have enough money for everyone. So if we get Obamacare what makes people think the same thing won't happen to it? I'm sure Pa isn't the only state that has the same problem. So if the states drop it to save money and all those people rush into Obamacare it will short circuit the system! But I guess whiz-kids in DC already thought of this and have planned for it. Probably has something to do with running the money presses again.

Obama's heart is as cold as Fairbanks

First a little history, in case you went to public school. Back in June of 1942 the Japanese attacked the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. Alaska had no national guard, it was called up and moved to Washington state in August 1941. So the 34,000 miles of coastline would be defended by a volunteer group of men(and women). Their ages ranged from 12-80. Even the territorial governor was a member. They were trappers, prospectors, and hunters. Their backgrounds were Aleuts, Yupik, and European Americans. They were all patriots. They were invaluable to the military as the majority of troops were unprepared for Alaska's brutal terrain and climate. They served as scouts, special forces and also helped forage for food for the troops. One year after the Japanese took over two of the islands the military was able to retake the islands.

The veterans of America's forgotten battle never asked for kudos. Most went back to their small villages after the war. Some went on to join the Alaskan guard. Some helped bring Alaska to statehood. In 2000 Senator Ted Stevens' bill passed granting full veteran status to all members of Alaska's territorial guard. Of the 20,000 that protected Alaska, only 300 are still alive today. Of the 300, 26 have the required 20 years of military service to qualify for retirement benefits, that is until Obama got into office. He had the Army stop payment to these 26 and throw out the other 37 applications. He did stop short of asking for the money back they already received. Mighty nice of them. Alaska's senators(one a Rep, the other a Dem) wanted to fix this with the current defense bill. The white house has sent a message saying it disproved of including pensions for these heroes.

"its not appropriate to establish a precedent of treating service performed by a state employee as active duty for purposes of the computation of retired pay."

Apparently fighting for your country is "state service", nothing more. They are no more important than a DOT worker! Once again Obama has proven he holds the military in contempt. Please contact your senator and tell them to vote against Obama's hatred for WWII veterans. Or better yet call Obama and ask him why he wants to eliminate the pensions for brave veterans of Alaska's Territorial Guard.

For all you journalist I want you to think back. Way back when you got out of college and wanted to do hard hitting journalism. Remember how you had a distrust for the government? Remember how you were gonna save the world by reporting the fraud? What happened? In the last couple weeks a radio talk show host, and two 20 something amateurs exposed corruption, while you mentioned nothing about this. Last Saturday over a million people marched on Washington to protest our expanding government, and you either buried it, or blatantly lied about how many and why people were there. The fact that a newspaper from the U.K. was the only one reporting actual numbers and the reasons, should make you hide your head in shame. You have become the same elitists that you wanted to bring down. These are the reasons that you are becoming bankrupt. However you can change this, and I hope you will. You have the power to shut down talk radio, Fox news, and bloggers by doing one simple thing...your job! I would never have started a blog if I thought my views were being told elsewhere. That goes with all your advisories. To be honest I'd much rather watch one of the big three news networks than spending time writing a blog, but I can't. When you spend months reporting about Micheal Jackson's death, and how weird he was, you do a disservice to your trade. We all new he was weird, my God he took a monkey to the grammys! If you followed politicians(on both sides) as much as you follow Hollywood stars we'd never have a dishonest public servant! You are the voice of the people, all people, not just one side. So I am asking every Democrat that is a journalist, clean up your side of the aisle. Every Republican clean up your side of the aisle. Independent go after both sides. Question every bill, every earmark, every appointment to any office, follow the money wherever it leads. You do this and you'll see your viewership/subscriptions skyrocket.

Remembering 9/11

Today marks the first national service day. Obama made 9/11 a day of service because I guess he didn't think Patriot Day or a day of remembrance was enough. In my opinion not remembering 9/11/01 is the BIGGEST disservice this country can do to itself. So for service day I'm going to write about my personal story of 9/11.

The day started out like any other day. I drove my wife to work, and was on my way to the bank to deposit the left over money from our vacation. I was listening to Howard Stern as I pulled up to the bank. He was reporting that a plane hit the world trade center. I figured it was a small Cessna type plane, as I went into the bank. By the time I got to the teller I found out the truth. The AM station in the bank suddenly broke into a live ABC radio report. It reported that a commercial airline crashed into the north tower. When I got back in the car, I did something I never did before, I changed the radio to AM. I have never changed back. At the time I worked for my dad at his gas station. I remembering walking into the station, and asking my dad if he heard that a plane crashed into the world trade center. He thought I was messing with him. So I turned on the radio and a minute later we heard about another crash into the south tower. The guy that worked for us said "you think this has something to do with Y2K?" and my dad said "its terrorism, not Y2K!". That day was hard, having to wait on customers and trying to listen to the radio at the same time. We told every customer that didn't know about it. It was easy to see who knew and who didn't, the ones that didn't know were still smiling. Somewhere around 9:45am we heard that a plane had crashed into the pentagon(actually first reports said an explosion). We were talking about some of our customers that commute to D.C. every day, and hoped that they were alright. Suddenly live on the radio we heard the south tower collapse. You could have heard a pin drop. My dad turned to me and said "you know how you always wondered how I felt when Kennedy was shot, its just like this" I can't describe how I felt. I was angry, sad, scared all rolled into one. Its a feeling that I hope my son will never have to feel. A little after ten I remember a Marine came in frantic. He was on his honeymoon and was called back to his post at Camp David. After he left another customer came in to tell us he heard there was another plane hijacked and headed our way. He thought they were aiming for either Camp David or the Gettysburg National Military Park. After he left my father said to me "Today you will learn how dumb people can be when they are scared". The phone rings, its my wife, a travel agent. She told me that its like a ghost town in her office with the exception of one person that came in around 9:30 for airline tickets. They had no idea what was going on around them. She also told me her mom wanted her to go home for the day, for fear a plane could crash into her office. I reassured my wife that no plane would crash into a strip mall in a small town in Pennsylvania, they have bigger plans in mind. I get off the phone with her and hear about the north tower collapsing. Not long after that we learned about flight 93. I walked outside to have a smoke and try and relax. As I was standing there I realized there was no sound. Hardly any cars were driving by the interstate next to us, but more importantly there was no noise from any plane above. Our location is on the outer most circle of flight plans going into BWI. It was eerily quiet. Through out the morning the news would tells us unverified news about explosions in DC, another plane being hijacked heading for DC, more proof that my dad was right. Later that afternoon a truck load of local firefighters came in for gas. They were heading for NYC in the hopes they could help. They didn't know anyone that was in either world trade center. They felt it was their duty to try and see if they could help rescue anyone that might be alive in the rubble. These wouldn't be the only firefighters we would see that day. The National Firefighter Academy is in Emmitsburg, MD about 10 miles away. We saw over a dozen cars and trucks filled with firefighters heading to NYC, some of their colleagues were heading to DC to help with the Pentagon. The rest of the day we stood by the radio hoping that we wouldn't hear about more planes being used as missiles. I got a phone call from my other job(I worked part-time on the local radio station). My boss told me that I wouldn't have to come to work tonight, they decided to just simulcast CNN news instead of other programming. Days later I would find out that the news anchor I was friends with owned part of the property in Shanksville that flight 93 crashed on. I called my wife to tell her I didn't have to work that night and I was going to pick her up after she got off. The ride home was completely silent. We just listened to the radio all the way home. When we got home we turned on the TV, and after seeing the famous scenes of the carnage, and how people chose to jump out of windows instead of burning to death, it sunk in even more. We never ate dinner that night, as we just stared at the TV and tried to reason why someone would do this.

Until 9/11 I thought that the space shuttle explosion was the worst thing I would have witnessed. After 9/11, I hope that nothing will surpass it.

Obama lied not Rep. Wilson!

Last night Rep. Joe Wilson spoke for most of us that have read the health care bill when he yelled "YOU LIE"! I wasn't surprised when all the news wanted to talk about was how terrible it was that a congressman would yell at the president. I didn't even bat an eye when they failed to mention the fact that democrats booed President Bush. I am shocked(although I shouldn't be) is that they didn't ask the question "why does he feel this way?" If they did they would look at the ways and means committee that struck down an amendment that Rep. Dean Heller (R-NV) that actually would have used the IEVS(Income and Eligibility Verification System) and SAVE(Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements) to make sure the people using Obamacare would 1. need it, and 2. be legally able to!

Lets look at some other lies our President said last night.

1. " Nothing in our plan requires you to change what you have"

This is actually a half-truth. The reason is he used the word "requires". No it doesn't require it, however it puts so many taxes on your employer that they have to decided on profits(and re-investing in their company) or cutting costs and putting you on the public plan. However if you have a high deductible with an HSA plan, this plan would eliminate it! What's more unless you are enrolled in a private health plan before 2013 you CAN'T get private health care!

2. "I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to the deficit now or in the future"

The CBO has stated it adds 220 billion to the deficit over the next 10 years. However, this might work out for him. Friday he told congress he needed the deficit ceiling raised to over 12 trillion dollars. I guarantee this is how he can justify not adding to the deficit.

3. "Under our plan no federal money will be used to fund abortion"

Another half truth. All health care bills will mandate all private insurance companies to have abortions covered in their plans. Rep. Johnson(R-TX) and Rep. Canton(R-VA) tried to pass amendments against this. Canton specifically wanted to add an amendment to make sure no taxpayer money went to funding health care. It was defeated.

4. "A claim made not just by radio and cable talk show hosts, but by prominent politicians, that we plan to set up panels of bureaucrats with the power to kill off senior citizens. Now, such a charge would be laughable if it weren't so cynical and irresponsible. It is a lie, plain and simple"

No sir you are lying! H.R. 3200 wants to increase CER(comparative effectiveness research) to determine which treatments are the most cost and/or clinically effective in handling particular cases. Back in 2003 France was in a heat wave. Over 17 thousand people died, because the government could save money by letting doctors go on vacation, instead of saving lives. Just like the evil insurance company it came down to the bottom line.

5. "Requiring insurance companies to cover preventive care like mammograms and colonoscopies makes sense, it saves money, and it saves lives."

1/3 of this is a lie. It makes sense and it saves lives, however it does not save money. The reason being not every person needs this preventive care. For instance lets say you check 1 million people. Only 100 have a disease. The check up costs $50. You've just spent 50 million dollars. The treatment costs 50 thousand dollars, that adds up to $500,000. So how can you say this saves money?

The problem with a half-truth is its still a lie!

Now I know this may come as a shock that he's done an about face and now wants to raise the deficit ceiling yet again! I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact he has stated time and time again that his "hellcare" won't raise the deficit. Of course not, you're moving it so it won't!

More proof that our President is a communist. According to china daily website (http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/china/2009-07/13/content_8422505.htm) our President, and his administration, will allow the Chinese flag to be flown at the White house on Sept. 20th! Why....to celebrate 60 years of the People's Republic of China. Chen Ronghua, chairman of Fujian Association of America told reporters that:

"their application was approved not only because of sound Sino-American relations, but also China is a responsible country"

Responsible? Ask those students in Tienanmen square, a Christian, Muslim or Tibetan or Taiwanese people how responsible they are!

Maybe this is Obama's way of thanking China for allowing a joint venture with GM(now Government Motors) and China's FAW auto group.* You see while GM is closing plant here, they're bolstering China's economy. Maybe its a thanks for buying GM's hummer line**. Obama and his "greenies" could never allow his company to build an anti-eco monstrosity, however allowing China to do so is ok to them. Maybe its a thank you for staying communist for so long, proving to Obama(and his administration) communism can work! Or maybe its a way to thank them for giving our government more money to print worthless paper. If anything the Chinese should be thanking us, for showing them how they can defeat capitalism(something the Soviet Union couldn't do). Lenin once said "the capitalist will sell us the very rope to hang them with". It looks like comrade Lenin misspoke. In fact we'll buy the rope from the communist and vote in a comrade to hang us all with it!

I know how can I say that our President is a communist? That's crazy talk! Let's look at the facts; his mother was a communist sympathizer(a fellow traveler), his mentor Frank Marshall Davis a communist, his community organization in Chicago was molded from Saul Alinsky's(communist sympathizer) book, he was hand picked by outgoing incumbent Alice Palmer(executive of the US peace council, the US affiliate of the world peace council a communist front group funded by USSR), and backed by weather underground terrorists and communists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. He has now put a communist in charge of creating green jobs, Van Jones. The real question we should ask Obama is "why'd it take you so long to show your true colors?"

Obama doesn't like oppressed people

I always felt that one of America's best qualities was that it was that we spread the hope of liberty to all oppressed people. We showed that the common man could throw down the shackles of oppression to form a government of the people. We stood up to the most powerful nation(twice) and beat them. We are the first country in history that has not used our superior armies to conquer foreign nations. We have stood up to tyrants throughout history before they could conquer the world, and when we couldn't(or wouldn't) stand up we gave aid to our oppressed brothers and sisters. We started VOA(voice of America) to get our message of freedom and liberty to oppressed nations. Maybe this is a Frank Capra-ish view, but it is my view. The last 2 weeks however America has changed, thanks to the Obama administration.

First was the Iranian election. For those of you that don't know how Iran works, here's a brief rundown. The supreme leader(Khamenei) has the final say over all matters, he decides if the person elected is the one that is best for Iran's(and more importantly HIS) ideas. After the June elections Ahmadinejad was declared the winner. His opponent Mousavi and his followers cried "foul"! They took to the streets in the 100's of thousands. There were brutal crackdowns on these peaceful protests that included the now infamous killing of a young woman. After a week of protests, killings and beatings our President finally spoke to the people of Iran to give them hope by saying to the government of Iran "stop all the violent and unjust actions against their own people" Wow that's pretty harsh, what's more interesting is he made this weak statement after being pressured by his own staff to make a statement. Nothing saying America will stand with the oppressed, or anything else to give support to the Iranian people.

Now lets look at Honduras. The president (Manuel Zelaya) wanted to become a dictator by being allowed to be president longer than the constitution says. The supreme court and congress of Honduras said no to this, however he wasn't going to let his dreams of a dictatorship rest. The congress contacted the military to "get rid" of the president. Now here's the interesting thing. The military arrested the president and took him to the airport to go to Costa Rica. After doing this the military gives power BACK to the congress! They in turn vote in an interim president, who is from the same party as the ousted president! The interim president says the January elections will go on as planned and he WILL NOT run for president. This has to be the most peaceful and democratic coup of all times! When was the last time you heard of a coup that the military didn't want to control the country, and that congress put the same party back in power? Now here's how Obama reacts. He says that Zelaya is the democratic president and the coup was illegal! He does however have some people that back him on this, most notably Chavez, Ortega and the Castro bros. That's some good company for an American president to have. Take that Honduras how dare you oust a would be dictator!

What does this say to our neighbors? America will no longer stand with the just and right, and will stand with dictators and tyrants! Sorry world Obama doesn't care about your right to freedom and liberty.

Minnesota elects a comedian, and I'm not laughing!

Yesterday Norm Coleman conceded the election in Minnesota. After 8 months of recounts, and court room drama, Al Franken is now the junior senator of Minnesota! This means that King Obama now has complete control of both houses of Congress. With the cap and trade bill coming up in the Senate in a couple weeks, there is a better than good chance that the capitalist system we have all enjoyed all our lives will be gone overnight. We will be paying anywhere from 100-300% more in utilities. Not to mention prices for everything else will rise to help companies pay for the strangling yoke of cap and trade. Fraud will run rampant, as the government will decide who gets the "coupons". Fake businesses will pop up selling their "coupons" to other business that are in need of them or face fines from Uncle Sam. Other companies will realize its easier to just move outside the United States to escape restrictive government in the private sector. Smaller business that don't have this option will be forced to close. Either way millions will be out of jobs. All of this(and more) just for some pseudo-science that is global warming.

Pedophile Protection Act debated tomorrow (5/12/09)

Tomorrow the Senate will be discussing a new hate crime bill(H.R. 1913/S. 909). This bill was originally intended to add homosexuality to the hate crime bill already enacted. However, because of its broad definitions every fetish will be protected. Rep. Louis Gohmert(R-TX)fought in committee and in the House to define "sexual orientation" but the democrats refused. I guess they want to add to their base and shore up that all important necrophilia vote! The same Democrats rejected an amendment to the bill that included the military who may be harassed for their service. I guess they don't need that vote! As Gohmert said on a recent radio talk show:

"You see someone spying on you changing clothes and you hit them, they've committed a misdemeanor, you've committed a federal felony under this bill. It is so wrong."

It will also ban hate speech towards these sexual orientation. This will include churches, synagogues, and mosques(although they never mention mosques). Therefore if a preacher/priest/rabbi/cleric(or what have you) is preaching about the sins of homosexuality and someone in that congregation ends up killing a homosexual the preacher could be prosecuted for 'conspiracy to commit a hate crime'! Whole passages of the Bible/Torah/Quran will have to be blackened out for fear of prosecution.

Liberals love to yell "separation of church and state", however they don't understand that goes both ways! I urge everyone to write to your senators, and tell them that you don't want pedophiles to be protected by the federal government! As Rep. Gohmert said:

"If you guys put up a strong enough fight, that will give backbone enough to the 41 or 42 in the Senate to say we don't want to have our names on that."

Tea Party round up

By now you have probably heard that Obama's homeland security department sees you as a threat. Basically if you vote republican, served your country, feel that illegal immigration is just that ILLEGAL, and have a moral opposition to abortion you will become a terrorist. I know that may shock you. Most of you probably don't think you have enough time to plan let alone execute an attack on the country you love! So if you went to a tea party and wondered "who's that guy in the suit with sunglasses, and why is he talking into his cuff link?" don't worry....its just Homeland Security making sure you weren't buying a copy of the anarchist's cookbook.

It's bad enough that the Obama administration thinks this, but now Janeane Garofalo is sounding off. In case you don't know who she is she's a b-lister that is now on 24. She was on MSNBC's "The Countdown with Keith Olbermann" in which she said:

"Let's be very honest about what this is about. This is not about bashing Democrats. It's not about taxes. They have no idea what the Boston Tea party was about. They don't know their history at all. It's about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up and is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks. There is no way around that."

Since Ms. Garofalo is a fan of history, here's a quick history of the word redneck. The first time it was used in print was as an adjective during the Battle of Blair Mountain. You see when the pro-union miners marched on the mine they wore red handkerchiefs around their neck. That way their union brother's would realize who they were, and aim their guns elsewhere. That's right rednecks were pro-union democrats. Oh and p.s. Janeane a little more history...conservatives make a majority of the viewers of 24. So if you want to give back your "dirty money" I'll understand.

Anyway as a person that was at a tea party I didn't notice the Klan, or Nazi's. I didn't see anyone burn Obama in effigy, nobody was goose-stepping up the street. What I saw was 2500 people that believe that bailing out companies and mortgages are wrong. People that feel that our government is becoming a bloated monster that is getting involved in areas it should never be. I also so people that feel that the constitution should be the law of the land, not any person or group of people. I saw people that feel that our government is giving up this nation's sovereignty to the U.N. I saw people that feel if the government would step back we can fix all our own problems. I saw people that know that this stimulus package will put our children and grandchildren in the chains of debt.

So if it makes liberals sleep better at night to label me a threat, or a racist...then go ahead. I know who I am and what I believe. If anyone gets a liberal in secret Santa, don't buy them a label maker, apparently they already have one!

Tea Party 2009

Tomorrow is the nationwide tax day. I'll be heading to Harrisburg, Pa(my capital) to join in the protest. It will be a soggy day, but I hope that won't deter anyone from going out. For those of you going to a "tea party" if I may give some advice.

1. Do not make this a Republicans against Obama rally.

2. Do not identify yourself as a Republican!

Again this goes back to number 1. They want the people watching at home to think this is all sour grapes after losing in November. Instead identify yourself as a conservative. Be sure to mention you're upset at all parties for spending like drunken idiots.

3. Stay on the message of taxes and bailouts!

4. Puff your numbers up!

This is an old protesters trick. For instance, if you only have 20 people and they ask how many are there say "We are proud to have close to 100 people out today, not to mention the 100's more stopping by in support of this". I realize this may create a moral dilemma for some. So in that case mention that you are only a small part of a movement that is over 6000 city strong.

5. Smile and be polite!

This is the most important thing. If you are screaming, yelling, and looking ticked off you will come across as a wack-job! Think about when you see some liberal protesting acting like this...what do you think of them? If someone is trying to "get your goat" come back at them with kindness. Don't be surprised if this happens. ACORN and Huffington Post have already said there will be counter protests and citizen journalists at the rallies.

Finally remember that protests and rallies are new things to conservatives. Liberals have been doing the whole grassroots thing for over 40 years now, this is their bread and butter!

I just want to give Obama his props for having the courage to take care of the Somali pirates that were holding an American merchant captain hostage. To be honest I really didn't think he'd give the red light to the Navy Seals. I only hope he can use this new found chutzpah towards Kim Jon Il. As we speak he has thrown out the U.N. nuclear monitors as it revamps its attempt to become a nuclear superpower.

I'm sure by now you have seen the video where our president is bowing to the Saudi king. This was a big deal, as protocol says that a sitting president should never bow to a foreign dignitary. The reason being, as a fellow blogger reported:

They understood that bowing was a societal gesture designed to acknowledge and highlight the fundamental inequality between different men in a social hierarchy"-moderncounterculture.com

What is interesting in the bow, is how far he bows. You see the farther you bow the more you are submitting to the other person. Back in the day people carried swords, so when you bowed and showed your full neck you were saying "I know I'm not worthy. I only hope in your infinite mercy don't cut my head off". If you notice he bows so far he actually has to bend a knee. If more amazing is that the Saudi king has his hand out awaiting a handshake! Even he knows protocol!

Now here's the real puzzler...the white house is denying that he bowed. According to an anonymous white house aide:

"It wasn't a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he's taller than King Abdullah,"

Really? Then why later on does he only shake hands of a leader who is the same height as the king? More importantly why even try to cover this up? With the fact that you are destroying the foundation of America taking away rights, and capitalism altogether...why not save your lies for more important things?

Two tales of political asylum

Today I will discuss two tales of political asylum. But first a definition of what political asylum is and who can apply for it. This comes from immigration.lawyers.com:

"Political asylum is available to people already in the United States who fear returning to their home country due to actual persecution or have a well-founded fear of actual persecution because of: race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion."

So now that you know the definition, lets discuss the cases of two women that are seeking political asylum. One women is from a country in Africa, the other is from Nicaragua. The African came to America, asked for political asylum and when denied in 2004, stayed in America even living in public housing. The Nicaraguan fled her country last year after being beaten by sticks, shot at, and nearly raped and murdered. The Africans relatives are actually in government back in Africa, her tribe is the ruling party. The Nicaraguan is pretty much doing this all on her own(although if enough people find out about this she'll probably have a good lawyer), the other has one of the top immigration lawyers representing her. Both should be open and shut cases: one is an obvious political asylee, the other not. The Nicaraguan was denied political asylum status, the African had her deportation reversed and can now stay for a year until it all gets cleared up! So what is the difference? The African is Obama's aunt! Now I'm not going to suggest that our President had anything to do with the fact his aunt is doing an end around on immigration laws. I'll not even suggest that the fact that a woman who is living in public housing suddenly has a great team of lawyers is suspect. I'll let you come to your own conclusions.

Let me give you a little background on our Nicaraguan. Her name is Auxiliadora Martinez, she's 23, and worked as a campaign manager for Eduardo Montealegre the former constitutional party candidate for mayor in Managua. Because of this she(and her family) was put on a "torture list" by the Sandanistas. She found out about this but did not flee, instead she fought harder for freedom. She was beaten with sticks, had mortars launched at her house, and even shot at. After the sham elections in November she was protesting the results. On her way back to her friends house she noticed some CPC(Daniel Ortega's Citizens Power Council) talking about her. They had pictures of her so they knew she was an "enemy". She overheard one say "Let's kill her". After running they grabbed her and were going to rape and kill her. She managed to get away when one reached for a walkie-talkie. She came to the U.S. in December and filled for political asylum. The day came to meet with an immigration official. She had one hour to state her case. She brought pictures, videos, buttons and anything she could think of to prove that she worked with the opposition party to the Sandanistas. She was told that she did not show enough proof that she was part of the demonstration, or that she was almost raped or killed. She was given only 16 days to file an appeal. If ever there was a case of political asylum this is it! I only hope that someone in the immigration office has a little common sense and see that this woman needs to stay in the U.S.! UPDATE: Ms. Martinez was just granted asylum. Although she was terrified of being deported she is quoted as saying:

"Let me say this clearly: I never wished to abuse the U.S. visa process, and I never once did for a moment. I have never once been to the U.S. illegally," and also "I thank you for making this country the last best hope. And thank you, America, for taking this stranger into your beautiful home."

The office of immigration in Los Angeles was overwhelmed with calls urging them to grant asylum for Ms. Martinez.

Barrack Obama is currently on his 09' European tour(t-shirts will be available at all concession stands) and so far isn't acting like much of a President. He has given the Queen of England an Ipod(which surprisingly she already has one) filled with Broadway show tunes and his speeches. He has bowed to the Saudi king(breaking protocol) as the King extended his hand. And now he had a town hall meeting in France! Apparently we really want Europe to love us! He wants to "listen" to Europe to see what they have to say. So at the town meeting, after giving a 25 minute speech(via teleprompter) he took questions....5 to be exact. Of the five, two Americans, two Germans, and a Hungarian. Not one French person! However these questions were very topical and provocative. Among the question were: "Is the family dog in the white house", "Do you regret running for President", and "Did you know your name in Hungarian means peach". Riveting stuff for sure, and definitely not shills.

The more important thing here is that our President in the midst of what he calls "the worst economy of our times" is out vacationing in Europe! How is this different than the CEO's that go to Vegas after asking for bailout money? As for his listening tour, why does he want to listen to Europe on anything? They didn't, and can't vote for you! Why not listen to the Americans who are shouting(not just saying) "YOU CAN'T SPEND YOUR WAY OUT OF DEBT!" or "SOCIALIZING HEALTH CARE WILL NOT CREATE JOBS"

And on a final note would someone teach Obama how to give a gift! He's given a DVD collection to Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who is not a film buff(not to mention it was region 1 when Europe is region 2), and an Ipod to the Queen. You give a gift based on what the other person likes, not on what you like or think they should like. This lesson could also be applied to running the country!

In case you don't know Mexico is corrupt. I know this may come as a shock, if the only experience you've had with Ol' Mexico is spring break. For the most part the drug cartel is in charge of the state they're in. That doesn't mean that the government isn't trying(at least on paper) to clean up the drug trade. But when the bad guys are so embedded and have the money to buy whatever and whoever you want its almost impossible. In Washington this week witnesses are in front of the Foreign Relations committee to talk about what should be done to combat the crime wave that is spilling into our country. Officials are saying the drug cartels are responsible for killings in Texas, and kidnappings in Phoenix. The latter is being used to collect debts. They have networks into over 230 cities in America. While this is going on Sen. John Kerry is saying we need to ban the import of assault rifles into the U.S. Why? Because after a shoot out in Tijuana the Feds confiscated over 60 that were traced back to the states. Lets look at some facts here. Worldwide there have been estimated over 90 million AK's and their variations(this is just an estimate since most countries don't reveal how many they've made). The second issue here is that there are 5 countries in the area that use the AK for military purposes. The 5 are Cuba, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, and Columbia. With the exception of Cuba, all drug trafficking into America go through each of these countries. Wouldn't you think that its easier for them to get their guns from these countries?

Sen. Kerry if you want to stop the killings and kidnappings going on, beef up security on the border! Stop the flow of illegals into this country and the cartels will have a harder time extending their base.

How did you celebrate earth hour?

So if you didn't know Saturday we were supposed to "tell the world's governments that we care about earth" by shutting off all our lights from 8:30-9:30pm. The WWF(not the wrestling organization) has said "an estimated 1 billion people world wide voted by turning off their lights and not using electricity". Now I question how they know how many people really did this. I do know this. There are a little over 6.7 billion people living on earth right now (http://www.census.gov/ipc/www/popclockworld.html). Now this seems like a lot of people voting for immediate climate change, until you find out the following. There are 1.6 billion people who live without electricity around the world! Now lets see how the two biggest environmental preachers celebrated earth hour. First up Leonardo DiCaprio. He spent his hour at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice awards. The producer of the fear inspired 11th hour was there to accept the first ever Big Green Help award. Now I admit I didn't watch, so maybe they used candles for lighting. Maybe he walked to the theater instead of using that evil gas guzzler limo he usually does. However I doubt that he did. So on earth hour he was a part of something that uses more power in 1 hour than most small towns! I won't even mention all the after show parties with their disposable plates and utensils. So I guess Leo voted "NO" to the earth.

Now lets take a stroll to Tennessee to see how Al Gore(Mr. Internet) voted. According to Drew Johnson, the president of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research he voted "NO" as well. According to Drew's blog:

I found that the main spotlights that usually illuminate his 9,000 square foot mansion were dark, but several of the lights inside the house were on. I [kid] you not, my friends, the savior of the environment couldn’t be bothered to turn off the gaudy lights that show off his goofy trees."

Maybe next year they'll rent their movies and get "scared" into voting. As for me, I spent my hour with every light on in my house, and the refrigerator door open for an hour. Maybe I have more in common with Leo and Al than I thought.

Obama's brown shirts

Yesterday the house approved H.R. 1388 the so called "give act" that would give $6 billion to Americorp over the next 5 years. It will also fund "new programs and studies" that some say may be the start of Obama's "National Civilian Security Force". Last year at a rally Obama said:

"we have to have a civilian national security force that's just as big, just as powerful, just as well funded as our military"

This "Give Act" would be operated by Michelle Obama, who until her husband ran for president was ashamed of America. When Obama first talked about his civilian force, he wanted people to volunteer starting in elementary school. People started to object to this, so his website changed it to secondary school. This "volunteer" force would be required to wear uniforms, and would be trained on campus(originally called camp, it was later changed to campus). Is it me or does this sound a lot like the "Hitler Youth" and the "brown shirts". Just another way to put down opposition and indoctrinate our youth. Why doesnt' the media report on this? If you elimate the mandated volunteer wording, you still have the fact he wants to spend as much in this as we do on the military!

LCB teaches manners?

Editorial: I live in Pennsylvania, and for the most part its a great state. There is one part of our lives that is run by the government; alcohol. The state does not allow the sale of alcohol in any store. I know this is foreign for a lot of people, and I know this after working at a gas station during my teenage years. A tourist who wants to buy some beer has to go to a bar or a distributor. If you want liquor or wine off to the state store. Just make sure you get there before they close(usually around 8 or 9). Or you can do like most Pennsylvanians and travel across state lines to buy your booze. This of course is illegal, and can carry a fine of $100 per container(that's means a possibility of $2400 for a case of beer!). Now the best part is that the employees of a state store are state employees, which entitles them to all the benefits of a state and union employee! However it is very hard to find employment as there are only 100 openings a year. You also have to pass a civil service exam to become employed. Now our state is spending close to $175k to teach its state store employees manners! They found that not every employee is saying "hello", "thank you", and "come again". Now you may want to have a stiff one when you find out that the head of the consulting firm(solutions 21) is married to one of the LCB's regional managers! LCB's chief exec defends this outlandish spending saying:

"the courtesy training is important so that customers will stop thinking about the stores as a government monopoly"

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT IS!!! If you want us to not think that way, abolish the state store system!

Wouldn't it be easier to send a memo to the managers. Telling them to make sure the clerks are courteous, or better yet firing someone who's crabby, instead of spending our money?! All this while our state government is telling us its in a budget crisis! It's no wonder I drink!

So yesterday I posted how Obama and his flunkies are upset that AIG gave bonuses to some of its employees with the money they gave them. Now they were obligated by contract to pay these bonuses. Sen. Dodd (D-CT) has came up with a brilliant idea, TAX the bonuses so they can get the money back! Here's the thing Sen. Dodd put in an amendment in the stimulus bill to allow bonuses to go to contracted employees! Oh and by the way guess who gave more money to Dodd's "war chest"....that's right AIG! Guess you get what you pay for!

My father was not a captain of industry. He was just a mechanic that owned his own service station. Even though he only had a high school education he is still one of the smartest people I know. I still go to him for advice. When it comes to money he gave me some great advice about loaning money to friends. He taught me to never give money if you expect to get it back from a friend. The second thing was if you give money to a friend you can not tell them how to spend it. This after I gave money to a down and out friend who went to Vegas! He said "You should have known your friend would have done that!" Apparently Obama and congress never had a father with wisdom! Currently they are scolding AIG for using the bailout money for bonuses. They really want America to look at business as the "boogeyman". recycling police

We've all had global warming shoved down our throats for years now. Since the 70's we've been told we're all gonna die if we use Styrofoam(usually in 10 years) and yet here we are. Now I agree that we should all be stewards of this land that our Creator has allowed us to occupy. I do not agree that forcibly making people to recycle is the answer. The dirty little secret is that like anything the government wants to control, they use money to do it. If the state wants federal monies they have to comply. The same goes with your little town and the state government! Even in my small town we're being forced to recycle or face up to a $1000 fine! So next time time someone throws out their beer bottle in the trash be a good citizen and call the cops on them!

The main thing colleges are supposed to do is allow for the free flow of ideas. There's a college in Connecticut that disagrees with this(actually most colleges are like this). A student wrote an essay on the benefits of allowing concealed weapons on college campuses. The professor after hearing this, called the cops on the student! Now don't be alarmed, but the college actually defended the professors decision!

I saw an article on World Net Daily that got my blood boiling. Once again Judges are making up their own laws! Judge Ned Mangum of Wake County North Carolina, is forcing a mother to send her kids to public school. She had been homeschooling them, and they test out 2 grades higher than their current grade. This all started from a divorce hearing. The husband does not want to pay for homeschooling costs anymore! The judges "official" reason was that even though they are doing great homeschooling, a public education would complement their education. Funny isn't that what people have been saying about teaching intelligent design along side evolution?

I was shocked to read that the free encyclopedia Wikipedia is erasing anything bad about Obama. For instance there is some questions about his birthplace. He hasn't been all that forthcoming about his birth certificate. There are those that believe his presidency is invalid since he may have been born outside of the country. This is not stated. His friendship with hate monger the Rev. Wright, and terrorist Bill Ayers are not mentioned. In fact people that have tried to add these FACTS are banned and their edits erased! Now if you go and wiki George Bush you'll see that everything is in there. Good, bad, or indifferent(the way it should be). I mean they even refer to his Bushisms! I was born and raised in Gettysburg Pa, about a mile from where John Burns defended his home, town, and country from advancing rebel troops. I remember learning about John Burns back in elementary school and was fascinated by the story. Here's an old man who should have fled the area(as most citizens did). I doubt anyone would have blamed him. Instead he picked up his old rifle and hurried to help. He was shot 4 times and left behind as the Union troops fell back into the town. He survived and became a local hero. So now I ask you do you have the courage to "grab arms" and face your foe head on?
